table-columnsReal-Time Impact Dashboard

The interactive globe is the public face of Go Fund Whale's impact system. It provides real-time, verifiable proof that conservation capital is flowing and results are accumulating.

Dashboard Overview

The dashboard displays:

  1. 3D Earth globe with rotating atmosphere

  2. Live donation markers appearing every 5 minutes

  3. Organization labels color-coded by region

  4. Real-time metrics (total SOL donated, whale population impact, organizations funded)

  5. Clickable interface for detailed breakdowns

Key Metrics

Total Donated (SOL)

Running sum of all SOL transferred to organizations since protocol inception. Updated in real-time as donations settle.

Why SOL? We measure impact in SOL (the base currency) to avoid coupling to volatile token prices. 1 SOL = 1 unit of value, regardless of $WHALE's market price.

Whales Helped (Estimated)

Derived from organization impact reports. Each organization reports estimated animals protected per unit of capital. The dashboard aggregates these estimates:

Whales Helped = Sum(
  organization[i].animals_protected_per_sol
  × organization[i].cumulative_funding_sol
)

This is an estimate, not a precise count, but it grounds the impact in real-world terms. A $0.01 SOL donation isn't abstract—it's ~0.00003 whales protected.

Organizations Funded

Count of unique organizations that have received at least one donation.

Next Donation In

Countdown to the next 5-minute settlement. This timer resets automatically; when it reaches 00:00, a new settlement is processed and the timer restarts.

Interactive Globe Features

Marker Details (Clickable)

Each marker on the globe is clickable and reveals:

Geographic Filtering

Toggle organizations on/off to see their specific impact regions:

  • North Atlantic & Arctic

  • North Pacific

  • Caribbean

  • Indian Ocean

  • Southeast Asia

Historical Playback

Play back the last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days of donations in real-time, watching markers accumulate as if observing live trading and settlements.

Real-Time Data Feed

The dashboard ingests data from:

  1. On-chain events — Settlement contract emits DonationEvent logs

  2. Impact registry — Organization and outcome data indexed from smart contracts

  3. Off-chain sources — Latest quarterly impact reports from each organization

Data updates occur within 2-3 seconds of settlement confirmation.

Mobile Optimization

The dashboard is fully responsive on mobile devices. The globe scales fluidly, metrics are prominently displayed, and all clickable elements are touch-optimized.

On small screens, the globe can be panned, rotated, and zoomed with intuitive gestures.

Accessibility

  • Color-blind safe palette — Markers use shapes and colors for differentiation

  • Keyboard navigation — Full keyboard accessibility for all interactive elements

  • Screen reader support — Semantic HTML ensures text descriptions

  • High contrast mode — Supports system-level dark/light preference

Embedding & Integration

The dashboard can be embedded in third-party websites via iframe:

This allows partner organizations, media outlets, and conservation enthusiasts to showcase live impact on their own platforms.

Data Export

All dashboard data is available for download in CSV/JSON formats:

  • Donation ledger — Complete transaction history

  • Impact report — Aggregated outcomes by organization and region

  • Time series — Historical metrics for analysis and reporting

This supports academic research, conservation planning, and third-party impact audits.

Transparency & Auditability

Every number on the dashboard is traceable to on-chain data:

  • Click any metric → View the underlying transactions

  • Click any marker → View the settlement event

  • Click any organization → View their verified TXs

This radical transparency is the core of Go Fund Whale's credibility.
